“I’m sorry guys, I have to take a break from updating this week!”

– a promise to update in two weeks, which is why I don’t say that

There are many reasons I don’t think I’d be a good professional content creator – one of which being, if I’m feeling too lazy to update my content on its expected schedule, I’ll probably be feeling too lazy to make an announcement letting everyone know I won’t be updating on schedule.

I spent the first 2-and-a-bit-more years of making this comic sticking to a 2-comics-per-week schedule and when I started slipping from that I felt pretty guilty. But then no one yelled at me or got mad or anything, so I just kinda slipped into a schedule of, “I’ll make these when I make ’em, I guess.”

But every now and then, I’ll see my fellow content creators make an announcement to the Internet whenever they have to take a break for a bit and it makes me think: “Oh, am I supposed to be doing that too?” And they always have some sort of good reason for not updating: “Sorry, I’ve had some personal issues to take care of,” “I’m working on a big project and I’ll have to take a break from this one for a bit,” “I’m feeling burnt out lately and need to focus on myself.” And my reasons are usually more of a, “Not really feeling like it right now?” I don’t know if that really warrants an announcement or anything – and if it does, I don’t wanna keep doing that every time.

But again, no one’s yelled at me or gotten mad or anything, so I’m guessing it’s fine.
