Ninja Magic
“Reven-Ents will lie dormant for as long as they are satisfied with regular sacrifices. This makes for a natural symbiotic relationship with the Thorn-Tailed Mega-Squirrel, which prefers to bury its prey alive for later consumption. The spacious trunk of the Reven-Ent provides the Mega-Squirrel with a cozy living space, as well as imparting the Mega-Squirrel’s prey – entwined within the Reven-Ent’s roots – with a flavor not unlike that of hickory-smoked jerky, a taste many a Mega-Squirrel has been known to enjoy. “

Oops, I forgot to update for 2 months! Actually, I didn’t forget, I just got stuck on this one comic for 2 months. The thing about Feitr’s Guild is that every idea I have for this series starts off as a simple joke of, “Ha ha, what if RPG wizards needed to do Naruto hand signs for magic but their dexterity sucks?” and then continues into “Wait a minute, but what if?” and then I’m building some dexterity-based, rhythm-game magic system for rogues, most of the details of which won’t actually be relevant to the single comic I’m making.
Then I’m thinking, “You know, I don’t show these guys fighting things enough, maybe I’ll add a couple monsters to this one.” Then, “Fire is good against trees, so maybe a tree monster. But what about the other monster? Tree –> Squirrel —> Monster Squirrel.” Then add in the extra time to come up with names for the monsters (I got “Thorn-Tailed Mega-Squirrel” for the squirrel monster, but that name’s not on the comic pages yet, so not canon and can possibly change).
Oh my God, I am never finishing Feitr’s Guild Origins, am I?
