I’ve come to a realization about myself that, unfortunately, I may be a woefully pretentious contrarian. Every time something I like is ignored by the mainstream public, I resent society for not giving the proper attention and accolades to something that obviously deserves it. However, when something I like is revered and beloved by the mainstream public, some annoying voice in my head mutters to me, “Your taste is so basic.”
I don’t know who might be offended by the following statement, but I really do not have high respect for the standards of Redditors (or the internet in general, but Reddit is the section of the internet I have the most familiarity with). So it really doesn’t bother me too much when some of my stuff doesn’t get a great reception (though guys, c’mon, I’m giving you good stuff here), but every now and then, when one of my comics does pop off on Reddit, part of me wonders, “Oh no, am I Reddit humor?”
